Yes, you will need a domain name to activate your mail box and set up your email address.
A domain name is the address where your website / emails lives. For example: nethosting.co.zw is the domain name where this website lives
POP3 means Post Office Protocol version 3. When you receive emails using this protocol you can then download them to your computer or device locally using an email client such as Outlook, Thunderbird or Mac OS X Mail.
IMAP or Internet Message Access Protocol is a mailbox that allows you to access emails that are stored on mail servers rather than download them to your computer or device. This means that you can run the same account from different locations and devices. When it’s read in one device it will sync and show as read in all devices.
As well as any computer, iOS (iPhone, iPod and iPad), Android and Windows phones are all supported and synchronised from the same email server using both protocols concurrently.
No, you can use our Email only plan without having any web hosting with us. This is a dedicated product that doesn’t rely on any web hosting to work although if you required hosting for a website at a later date then this can be done from your admin area. Please bear in mind that if you purchase hosting then mailboxes will be included with your package.
Yes you can, there are several ways to do this and we have a tool that can be used to help if required. Just get in touch and we’ll do our best to advise on the best method.
Yes, you are welcome to upgrade or downgrade your package at any time via your client area or by contacting us. Please note that downgrades will only take place at the end of your current billing period
For the email only hosting accounts, mailboxes can be whatever you like as these are allocated by the user upon mailbox creation. Just bear in mind that allocation cannot exceed 10GG / subject to the package chosen
In general, you can expect your account to be up and running within 24 – 48 hours after receipt of payment.
